Leaving Natal, Brazil – July 27, 2006
We left Natal this morning to go to Ponta Negra which should be about a one hour trip, but there was no quiet port there and the seas were too “rolly” to anchor out. So we continued on to Cabadelo on the Rio Paraiba which meant several more hours on the ocean. We didn’t actually arrive until about 5:30PM. By then, I was very sorry that I hadn’t put on a Scopolamine patch—after all, no plan on a boat is certain. I knew I could make it for one hour but six or seven were too much. So I just laid around and accomplished nothing during the trip—the good news is no throwing up. No lunch either. Phil and the boys read and watched movies.
By dinner time, we were anchored off Cabedelo on the Rio Paraiba—very pretty. Until tomorrow…
