Itamaraca, Brazil – Aug 3, 2006
It’s a quiet morning here—still beautiful, but a little overcast. Grant and Will are in the water cleaning the waterline of the boat and checking stuff underwater. Grant then worked in the engine room with Roddy almost all day. Phil went to the beach and met with Luigi, the Italian architect, who lives here six months of the year. I got to stay on the boat reading. Will felt a little bad today with a sore throat so he spent time reading too. Later Will and Grant went wake-boarding on the river near here with the crew and had a great time. We had curried chicken for dinner and then around 10PM, Phil, Grant and Will went to the hotel in Itamaraca for what was reported to be a great party, but it was a total bust as indicated by the fact that they were back on board by midnight.
